boo-boo update

Wiley has been scooting around on his bottom all afternoon and alternatively whining and crying. I finally sat him down at his table and he painted since he did not want to go outside (b/c of the boo-boo) and had otherwise declared himself immobile. He painted his body and a little bit of the paper, left a footprint on the carpet, and was promptly pointed to a bath. Water of course irritated him and particularly when his dad tried to straighten out the leg. Finally we were like, well maybe something really is the matter. Wil pushed around the boo-boo, compared to the other knee, asked if it hurt when he pressed it, etc. Drs. Mom and Dad determined he was afraid about stuff getting into it and there were no serious injuries.

We have a doctor's appointment for our 3 year old check up this week, so we will double check with them. I just hope that Wiley can handle school tomorrow.

(we video-ed the drama that was Wiley scooting around on his bottom. That could have been positive reinforcement for his behavior and hence why he has played it up all afternoon and evening. but oh my, it was funnnnny watching him scoot around.)
